Costa Del Sol: Day one
The Costa del Sol (the sunny coast) stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province. The area's mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round.
Located approximately 50 km west of Malaga airport is the fabulous city of Marbella. It is one of the most popular destinations in the Costa del Sol area as this luxurious resort town seems to have it all and is, once again, rising to the forefront of the scene as a favorite location for the rich and famous, and just about anybody who would like to experience southern Spain's answer to St Tropez. However for the ultimate in coastal charisma it would be hard to beat Puerto Banus, just west of the town. The nightlife is buzzing here with alfresco bars, piano clubs and discos, which are open dusk until dawn.
City tour of Malaga
Málaga is a bustling commercial and residential center that boasts pretty streets, leafy boulevards and lush gardens. Her history dates back nearly 3000 years when the Phoenecians landed here and turned the harbor into a centre for salting fish and named it 'Malaca' from the word meaning 'salt'. And now it's your turn to discover it for yourself! Visit the old town, discover why the City’s beautiful Cathedral is called “ La Manquita” – the one armed lady, the Alcazaba and Plaza Mercedes, where the house where famous painter Pablo Picasso was born, is located. |
Welcome dinner at La Cabane
Open all year around, this exclusive Beach Club joins with the Mediterranean Sea as the undisputable star of this Spanish paradise.
