Barcelona: Day three

Visit the Picasso Museum and Gothic Quarter

Enjoy an hour visit to the Picasso Museum. This museum clearly confirms the ties that unite Pablo Picasso with the city of Barcelona. He did not only finish his academic training here, but the artistic effervescence that he experienced in the city set him on the path to his modern approach to art. The museum has the most important and extensive collection of the works of his youth and education, in particular the ones he did between 1895 and 1904, the years in which the young artist lived in Barcelona.

The museum collection has examples from the various stages and periods during Picasso’s life from modernism and post-impressionism to the blue and rose periods. The museum also displays a very wide representation of his engravings and lithographs along with a set of forty-two pieces of ceramic, bequeathed by Jacqueline Picasso in 1982.

This tour also includes a visit to the historic Barri Gotic or “Gothic Quarter” where you weave through quaint, narrow streets with a stop at the Cathedral of Saint Eulalia, the Kings Square, St. James Square and then over to the colorful and lively world famous Ramblas!

Time at leisure to explore the neighborhood galleries.

An unforgettable Dinner at the Casa Batlló

One of Antoni Gaudi’s most complete works, Casa Batlló offers you an extraordinary space where its beauty is expressed in the most refined artistic and architectural details, designed with the greatest creativity and the foremost craft of the artists and professionals of the time. Casa Batlló - built between 1904 and 1906 - is the expression of astonishing conceptual freedom and intense yet abstract naturalism. Decorated with ceramics of both brilliant and subtle colors, it produces an indefinable sensation of lightness in spite of the profusion of forms and motifs.

It entices and seduces its visitors with its extreme design, the repertoire of visual solutions and the creative use of materials and color. Casa Batlló provides a unique venue for a gala evening and this added to an amazing dinner and magic entertainment will really make this night unique
