Barcelona: Day one
Barcelona is Spain's most modern, energetic and innovative city. Not only is it the prosperous capital of Catalonia, one of Europe's most dynamic regions but also a major Mediterranean port. Hosting the 1992 Olympic Games was a turning point for the city, changing from an industrial port to one of the most popular European destinations.

Experience Barcelona’s main Highlights
And experience the charm this old yet cosmopolitan city.
You will visit one of the most attractive parts of the city, Montjuïc Hill, which blends art, history, culture and sport. A stop at the Mirador will give you a stunning view of Barcelona and the port. Another highlight of this tour is the outside visit to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, which was designed by Antoni Gaudi and is still under construction (as it has been for over 100 years!). On Paseo de Gracia, you will have the chance to view a number of ‘modernist’ buildings designed and built by famous modernist architects as well as Plaza Cataluña- the heart of Barcelona. We will also propose a more in depth visit of the historic Barri Gotic or “Gothic Quarter” with an inside visit of the Cathedral of Saint Eulalia, the Kings Square, St. James Square over to the colorful and lively world famous Ramblas, continuing down to the Christopher Columbus monument.
Enjoy a Typical Catalan Dinner
Barcelona is a very tempting city and the gastronomy is one of the many temptations it offers, Catalan cuisine, Mediterranean cooking at its best, is based on natural and seasonal products.
The numerous restaurants of the harbor will immediately put you in the Mediterranean ambiance and we will entertain this very first evening in our country with Spanish classic guitarists that make it perfect. |
