Rome: Day three

Excursion to the Roman Castles winery region with wine tasting and lunch at a Farmhouse

This beautiful drive through the heart of the world famous Frascati white wine region, is the most popular countryside dining area for Roman city dwellers wishing to escape from the city. You will see the strange and beautiful lake or Nemi, which was formed in the crater of an extinct volcano and then stop at the picturesque medieval town of Castelgandolfo where the Pope traditionally makes his summer residence.

After this, on to an agricultural factory in the center of the Frascati DOC vineyards. Founded in the 1600’s, this winery has a long history of cultivating vines and producing a very famous wine. After getting to know some interesting facts about the winery and viticulture, you will of course get to enjoy it, along with a gastronomic lunch

Farewell to Rome - Gala dinner venues

Experience a memorable dinner in a monumental structure that was once one of the most important constructions of the Roman Empire. Loved by all the emperors. It was owned by Julius Caesar before being bought by Caio Crispus Sallustius, and later on became part of the imperial property.

The position of this monumental structure, relatively far from the chaotic city life, but sufficiently close to the centers of political life, induced the emperors to choose it as a temporary residence, as an alternate to the official residence on the Palatino hilltop.
